From a young Electronics Engineer to Operations Manager in Sydney
After starting my career at Transnet in South Africa as an Electronics Engineer, where I was the lead test engineer on locomotive projects like the Class 32-200 & Class 43, I spent some time in Chicago and Cumberland in the USA to expand my knowledge on Diesel Locomotives. I advanced to Alstom Transport in South Africa as the Project Validation Manager for the PRASA X'trapolis Mega passenger train. Under this project, I worked as an expat in France and Brazil. Upon finalization of the Reliability Growth period, I moved to Alstom Australia as the V&V Train Systems Engineer on the Sydney Metro Northwest project. I am currently busy with the Sydney Metro City & Southwest project, as Operations Manager for Sydney.
I am currently registered as a Chartered Engineer with Engineers Australia. I'm an aviator (love to fly the Cherokee and a few Cessnas) and an avid mountain biker, but also enjoy philosophy and quantum physics.
