Head of Transverse Engineering & Tools
As a department head, I do face certain challenges in my role with some of them listed below:
1) Attracting and Retaining talent: The software industry is highly competitive, and finding skilled professionals is often challenging.
2) Delivery commitments / timelines: Software development projects often have strict deadlines and require coordination among multiple teams. Managing project timelines, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery can be challenging, especially when dealing with unexpected obstacles or changes in requirements.
3) Managing stakeholder expectations and aligning software development efforts with business goals can be challenging.
